Random Floaters in Restless Seas with Lightnings Flashing
printed on Giclée Epson Semi-Gloss
I looked deep into turbulent seas, blood red and topped with crowns of turquoise foam. Beyond this an indigo sky and rapid lightnings illuminating the turmoil below.
Out of this appeared mysterious spheres, floating serenely despite the surrounding chaos.
In wonder I pressed my palms firmly against my eyes and the spheres opened, disgorging indeterminate shapes, phosphenes, that undulated in the vermilion waters.
How I wished I could remain forever in my feverish dream and escape the drabness of reality.
For me the surrealist journey is all about looking within to find those random worlds that hover somewhere between the conscious and the unconscious mind. Troubled dreamscapes that only appear in the delirious wanderings of the Id.
