Lugubrious weather
Terry Baker
printed on Giclée Epson Semi-Gloss
Image captured on medium format film stock somewhere in the Wiltshire countryside. Within mere minutes the sun had passed behind a dense curtain of white cloud and the bright day replaced by the lugubrious weather of the title. The artist was struck by the solitary tree stubbornly facing off the approaching storm. The sky had rapidly gone very dark as the threatening clouds rolled in. Even so, determined rays of sunlight managed to puncture the cloud blanket, throwing the silhouette tree into stark relief and revealing the aggressive face of the impending weather.
