Orchids - a study in green, pink and yellow
Terry Baker
printed on Giclée Epson Semi-Gloss
Photograph taken with a Sony RX10 in 2017 at the orchid garden, The National Botanical Gardens, Singapore. Opened in 1995 it is perhaps the largest display of tropical orchids in the world. Little was done to turn the original photograph into this print, save for using a gaussian blur filter to fade out an otherwise distracting background and a sharpening filter on the flowers to increase their presence in the image. Beautiful creatures, orchids. Bold and erotic, yet also graceful and fragile.
