Sundown over the Grand Canyon
Terry Baker
printed on Giclée Epson Semi-Gloss
This photograph was taken in late afternoon light somewhere in the vicinity of Pima Point, along the south rim. The slanting rays of sunlight have thrown the contours of the canyon’s south rim into sharp relief while on the north side all detail has been lost to the rising mist, and the valley contours recede in layers of blue-grey. Deep in the canyon the river stands out as a tiny ribbon of silver.
