Requiem for an abandoned home
Terry Baker
printed on Giclée Epson Semi-Gloss
Forlorn entrance to a derelict, half-timbered dwelling in rural Normandy, captured on monochrome film stock. The initial image was digitised and developed in Photoshop, using sepia and red filtration to selectively tone the rough-hewn timbers and brick tiles; all this to achieve the appearance of a traditional gold toned print. The cup of small red flowers is perhaps there in memory of who or whatever once lived behind the cob-webbed yellow glass.
